Unit 1 MC results

A-Peeps:

The high score was 38.5/50, which is pretty amazing! Congrats to that person (who shall remain anonymous). The next highest was 36.5/50, which is also pretty good. There were a smattering of scores in the low to mid thirties. After that, lots of 20s and sadly, lots of scores in the teens. Here's what you want to know: the test will be out of 36.5. So, the person who got a 40 will receive a little bit of extra credit.

The average score was 20, which, I've gotta be honest, needs some work. It'll happen with some refocusing and hard work.

For those of you who need extra points: I will return tests to you as soon as a few of you take the test. At the very latest, you will get the test back on Wednesday, which should allow a few days (by Friday) to do test corrections. Here is the procedure:

* You can correct questions which you missed (your test has the correct answer indicated if you got it wrong!) by the regular format (why you got it wrong, why the correct answer is correct): +.5 point back

* You can also answer questions left blank (state why the correct answer is correct) for +.5 point

* No matter what, if you did not earn a natural A or A-, an A- is the highest you can achieve via corrections. Usually, this can only be achieved when your score is really close to an A in the first place...

* No matter what II: to ensure that you learn (or re-learn) all of this stuff, you should do the corrections!

If you would like to drop this Unit MC Exam (you get to drop one per semester), you will need to wait until the semester to do so.

DON'T FORGET! You and I need to sit down and look over which QUIZ you would like to drop. By Friday!
